Strike Hold, named after the 21^st brigade of the 82^nd Airborne Unit, was created by a member of that same brigade, Mike Huggard. It was in the army that Mike first began to learn about the short comings of most industrial cleaning and lubricating solvents.  

The problem is that brand name lubricants do little to demoisturize, just as cleaning solvents do little to lubricate, just as lubricants do little to clean. If a soldier really wanted to effectively clean, lubricate, and protect his firearm, he would have to carry separate products that specialize in each of these functions. This fact yields yet another problem: serious degreasing cleaners are not only flammable, but they corrode plastics and polymers.

The situation illustrated in the paragraph above is similar to many situations that occur during the maintenance of active off-road vehicle. WD-40, one of the longest running lubricants in existence, will lubricate your antenna motor, but will it lubricate and demoisturize your distributor? PB Blaster will break down mild rust build-up on stubborn bolts, but will it lubricate and continue to protect afterwards?  

No one gives a better explanation of Strike Hold’s function than Strike Hold creator Mike Huggard, CEO of MPH System Specialties, when he describes it as a  “Fast acting penetrate that immediately cuts through dirt, rust, carbon, and scale to quickly get into parts that have become frozen from rust and corrosion. This product provides a long lasting dry lubricant that reduces friction and will not become brittle or harden.”

These attributes, combined with the product’s inherent capillary action, allows Strike Hold to literally spread slowly over any given surface area and cling, provided extended prolonged protection. The remaining residue creates a shield whose 35,000V dialectic strength will insulate a live light bulb socket underwater. As you can imagine, Strike Hold will function the same way when applied to a wet ignition coil or a wet distributor.

Unlike other lubricants and carbon-targeting solvents, Strike Hold is not a “Water Displacement Solvent.” Other manufacturers advertise that their products “displace water.” What does that mean? If a boat displaces its own weight in water then it floats. What does this have to do with cleaning and lubricating? Strike Hold does not just displace water; Strike Hold is a true demoisturizer that has a higher density than water, allowing it to cut through water and remove unwanted moisture from sensitive mechanical elements.

• Use to correctly and efficiently lubricate air tools and air tank systems.  Air tool oil is a big gimmick; the oil never disperses and sinks into the tool it just bounces around inside never lubricating the product.  Strike Hold actually blows in and through and puts a protective coating.  You can take OLD RUSTED air tools that are locked up and soak them in Strike Hold to bring them back to life.

•  Strike Hold can effectively replace 8-10 types of lubes, oils and sprays in the average shop.

• Water proofs all light bulb and lamp connections.  Don’t ever blow a bulb under water again!
