This lift kit
provides all the components and hardware necessary to complete a 2"
body lift on your Rover. The body lift, steering components, seat
belt frame tensioners, radiator hardware, and transfer case shifter
hardware are all included for the complete start-to-finish assembly.
Complete instructions are also included. We only sell the 2" body
lift.
A body lift only
raises the body and in no way affects the driveline, pinion angles,
steering geometry, or transmission and transfer case shifting. The
general purpose behind the installation of a body lift is to gain
more clearance for larger tires. A body lift will only provide
additional clearance for the vehicles body but will not increase the
vehicles ability to maneuver over large obstacles. (Note to self:
Monster trucks do not use body lift kits.)
Assembly time is
approximately six hours with two people. You will need two jack
stands, one floor jack, and normal hand tools.
A body Lift is
not recommended for Rovers with stock springs. A stock spring is
designed to carry the stock weight of a vehicle while the body
remains at factory heights. A body lift should be used only with
after market springs which are designed to carry more weight at
higher centers of gravity.
