The Mantec raised air intake, or snorkel as it is commonly called, is an essential accessory for those who drive in extremely wet or dusty conditions. Using a combination of flexible smooth hose and bent steel tubing, this unit raises the air intake point from its vulnerable position inside the engine compartment all the way up to the vehicle roof line. This Raised Air Inkate Kit is designed for use on all NAS Freelanders from 2001+. The Snorkel comes powdercoated in a satin black finish. The Mantec raised air intake kit includes all the necessary hardware and instructions for installation. Installation on Freelander requires cutting.

Note: Fitting a snorkel to a petrol engine does not make it suitable for deep water fording. Exercise caution and care when approaching or exceeding the manufacturer's fording depth.

For those of you who wish the change the top of your Mantec or ARB snorkel this is the best option.  This snorkel top is direct from the UK and will drop right onto your Mantec or ARB pipe.  It offers superior protection against rain and debris entering your intake with it’s underneath protected intake spots.  Install with a simple clamp you are ready to go and protected.  This is also a valuable piece if you are creating a snorkel with parts from the local hardware store. 

You can also purchase the elbow portion to make your install look a little more clean.  Again, both these items are direct from the UK and were used on Defenders, Discoveries, Range Rovers and Freelanders in the Camel Trophy and G4 Challenges.
