Red Rhino has the ultimate synthetic winch
lines for your Land Rover or Xterra. We understand that Land Rover &
Xterra owners expect more out of their gear, and that’s why we offer the
toughest winch lines available.
Our Dynaflex winch lines are made of
Kevlar, liquid crystal polymers, poly-paraphenylene terephthalamides,
and synthetic polymers, all coated in polyurethane. If you can’t even
pronounce those names, don’t worry, the value lies in the product, not
in its name. Our synthetic lines are twice as strong as traditional
steel lines, one-hundred times as durable, and much safer for you and
your vehicle. It’s proven.
Because Dynaflex synthetic winch lines
do not store kinetic energy, or stretch, their breaking recoil does not
carry the same force as a steel line. Since our lines have neither the
weight, nor ample recoil force to cause life threatening injuries to you
nor your companions, if a Dynaflex line was to break, the chance of an
accident or a human injury is greatly reduced. Dynaflex also offer
increased reliability under breaking conditions because the line can be
easily tied in knots for continued use [not recommended for long term
use but in a pinch it will suffice.] Steel line, on the other hand,
requires tools and time to be returned to action. This added safety
allows you to spend less time preparing for a dangerous recovery, and
more time performing the actual recovery.
However, just because synthetic line is lighter and does not recoil, you
do not sacrifice pull-strength by using our lines. The 3/8’ synthetic
line is rated to 21,000 lbs, while its steel counterpart will only
support 11,200 lbs. The 5/16’ inch synthetic line holds 12,200 lbs,
2,600 lbs higher than the same size steel line.
Another added advantage of Dynaflex synthetic line is that the line will
always return to its normal shape, and cannot be damaged by spooling, no
matter how it’s wound on the winch drum. When a user accidentally
“crosses” a steel line on the winch drum, the line’s strength at that
point is reduced by up to 5%, converting the line into a possible
liability during future use. Dynaflex synthetic lines allow you to spend
less time fighting to properly re-spooling steel line, and more time
enjoying your vehicle.
The final advantage we’ll mention about using Dynaflex synthetic winch
lines over traditional steel lines is their increased durability. A
synthetic line will endure the strain of 500+ pulls at a full load
capacity, whereas steel is only rated for five pulls at its full load
limit.
Red Rhino currently offers four types of Dynaflex line.
The Pro Line is a 3/8",
polyurethane coated LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer), with a 20,900lb.
weight-rating and a temperature-rating of 625° F. DynaFlex Pro line
offers the highest level of abrasion resistance and the highest
bend-fatigue rating in the industry, 180% higher than Aramid, Plasma and
Dyneema type lines, and 50% higher than our Trail line. The Pro Line
is best applied on vehicles using 8,000 to 16,500lb. winches, with
lengths of 100 ft. and 125 ft. The Lines standard color is black.
However, customs lengths and colors are available through special
orders, which may take 4-6 weeks. Alternative colors include orange, red
and green.
The Trail Line is a 3/8"
polyurethane coated PPTA (Poly-Paraphenylene Terephthalamide), rated to
18,900lbs. and temperature-rated up to 932° F. The line offers excellent
abrasion resistance and a bend-fatigue rating 30% higher than all other
available lines, excluding the Dynaflex Pro Line. The Trail Line is
best applied on vehicles utilizing 8,000 to 15,000lb winches. Standard
lengths are 100 and 125 feet. Standard color is black. However, custom
lengths and color are available through special order, which may take
4-6 weeks. Alternative colors include orange, red and green.
The Buggy Line is a 5/16"
polyester jacketed LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) that is weight-rated at
12,200lbs., and temperature-rated up to 625 F. Offering high abrasion
resistance, and excellent bend fatigue rating, the Buggy Line is most
applicable on vehicles weighing less than 2,800 lbs. and useing 5,000 to
6,000lb winches. This line is only available in 100 ft. and 125 ft.
lengths. The color is white, with a black gun-barrel twist
The Tow-truck Line, the newest
addition to our line-up, comes in two sizes, the above mentioned 3/8”
Pro Line polyurethane coated PPTA, with the same 20,900lb.
weight-rating, and a ¾” line. The ¾” line, whose weight-rating is
upwards of 60,000 lbs., is best applied to vehicles using 30,000 to
40,000 lb. winches. The standards lengths are 50 ft. and 75 ft. and
include 3-6 ft. chain runners for car-hauling application. The
Tow-truck Line is priced specially for professional towing
companies.
Our four synthetic winch lines will
provide the holding power you need for all your winching applications.
We also offer the new patent pending Line Lock, which maintains
five wraps of line on the drum at all times, allowing you to fully
extend your cable without the fear of losing your line when faulty
hardware breaks.
Due to the advantages of Dynaflex winch
line, Helicopter rescue teams now purchase more than 10,000 synthetic
lines each month. The qualities of our Dynaflex synthetic winch line,
mainly its increased strength, and gentle recoil under breaking
conditions, make synthetic line a cost-effective choice for your trucks,
and a safer alternative for your off-roading needs.
